Purpose(scope)

Used to detect surface or near-surface flaws such as cracks, laps, seams and inclusions in ferromagnetic materials in castings, weldings, forgings etc.

Technical Information about the service

Magnetic Particle inspection is accomplished by inducing a magnetic field in a ferromagnetic test object and then dusting the surface with iron particles (either dry or suspended in liquid). Surface and near surface imperfections distort the magnetic field attracting iron particles towards imperfections. Theses concentrations of magnetic particles constitute a visual indication.

Can provide magnetic particle inspection to detect surface and subsurface imperfections and gauss testing to measure the magnetic strength of magnetic separators on-site or in our accredited laboratories
