Industrial Applications Division applies nuclear, isotope and related technology in the fields of Water, Agriculture, Environment and Industry through research and development. Also it provides related technical, consultancy and analytical services for the stake holders and research institutes/organizations Island wide.

It has been proposed a new scientific disciplinary to work under a separate unit on Isotope Ecology to work on agriculture water management. Dissemination of nuclear knowledge through “School Education Program” is also coordinated and implemented by IAD through a separate unit.
