Used to detect particularly for small volumetric flaws or flaws situated deep within a part, material integrity and component thickness on casted, forged, rolled and welded components.

Technical Information about the service

Ultrasonic inspection uses transmission of high-frequency sound waves into a material to detect imperfections or to locate changes in material properties. The most commonly used ultrasonic testing technique is pulse echo, wherein ultrasound is introduced into a test object and reflections (echoes) from internal imperfections or from the part’s geometrical surfaces are detected and analysed.

Can provide Ultrasonic Flaw Detection inspection, Ultrasonic Thickness Gauging, Advanced Ultrasonic Testing and Corrosion Analysis on-site  or in our accredited laboratories.
