Radiation Processing
Radiation Processing Section functions under the Industrial Applications Division of Atomic Energy Authority. The Radiation Processing Section is mainly involved in Research and Development (R & D) activities.
Main objectives of the Radiation Processing Section are,
- Development of radiation processed materials, which can be used in different fields such as
- Environment, health , agriculture and industry
- Carrying out field trials
- Introduction of new irradiation technologies such as Electron beam irradiation.
- Providing guidance and assistance for research for the B.Sc and M.Sc undergraduates.
- Disseminate the knowledge on radiation processing technology by conducting seminars, workshops
- and participation of national level exhibitions.
