Personal Monitoring Services (PMS)

To whom
Radiation workers

Purpose
To assure the safety of radiation workers and record long-term occupational exposure data

Technical Information about the service

The occupational exposure control program of the SLAEB is developed to be compatible with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standards. In-field measurements are collected through Thermo-luminescence Dosimeters (TLD) and exposed radiation doses are calculated on a monthly or bi-monthly basis (depends on the practice). TLD surveillance is a mandatory regulatory requirement for almost all the practices involving radiation.
