LKR 23 million worth IAEA’s donation, COVID-19 identification systems handed over to Sri Lanka Ministry of Health
Inter National Atomic Energy Authority (IAEA) donated two RT-PCR (Real Time Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction) systems and accessories have been handed to the Minister of Health Pavithra Wanniarachchi today at the Ministry premises on 01st of April 2020. These two systems were donated as per the request made by Sri Lanka Atomic Energy Board (SLAEB) which is the Sri Lankan Focal point of IAEA. These two systems will enhance the testing capacity of samples for COVID-19 in the island. Onbehalf of the all Sri Lankans SLAEB pays its gratitude to the IAEA for the prompt actions taken.
