Sri Lanka Atomic Energy Board (SLAEB) had a preliminary discussion on Public Security and Humanitarian safety with the Ministry of Defence on 26th of August, 2020 at National Center for Non-Destructive Testing (NCNDT).
The discussion was regarding how radiation technology can support the national security. Today, as terrorists and drug dealers use more sophisticated techniques, the security systems must also be enhanced by the latest technology and solutions. The National Center for Non-Destructive Testing of SLAEB shared its’ knowledge and the experience with the security forces. Discussion room occupied by the participants of SLAEB, Sri Lanka Navy, Sri Lanka Air Force, Sri Lanka Army, Special Task Force and Sri Lanka Police.

Mr.M.A.K.Jayathilaka,Director NCNDT introduced the objectives of the meeting as the key speaker.Objectives of the discussion were to introduce this new technologies to the relevant authorities and identify the areas where the NCNDT can contribute.
